Eric Piaget has a background in history, international relations, and communications. He is the Science Diplomacy Coordinator for the EUTOPIA European university alliance. He is also a researcher at the United Nations University in Bruges, where he is affiliated with the Unit on Non-Traditional Diplomacy (UNTRAD). He holds prior experience with the Swedish government, EU institutions, think tanks, and civil society. A dual US-Swedish national, he completed his education at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom and the Free University of Brussels in Belgium.
